A Little Me Time

Hope everyone had a great Monday! I’m glad it’s over with that’s for sure! Todays post is all about making time for yourself.

We as humans, specifically women do not necessarily make enough time for ourselves. Women typically go to work, come home and then take care of their kids (if you have any) or cook dinner. So where do we find time for ourselves? That is something I often question for myself, though I don’t have kids. I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and by the time I get home, I really do not feel like doing anything. Unfortunately I can’t always just do nothing. Is anyone else there with me? Some days I wish I could just lock myself up and not come out until the next day, to basically help keep my sanity.

So over the weekend, I decided to make time for myself. Typically on the weekends I’m traveling to see family and friends, so its nice to step back and dedicate some time for just me. So I was happy when my boyfriend decided to do some yard work, which gave me some peace and quite (at least for a little while). For my “me time” I went and got some crawfish (one of my favorite foods), read some books and thought of some future blog pots I wanted to feature. This may not seem like a lot but for me the hour I had to myself, was so nice.

For all my fellow women out there, make a promise to yourselves to have some “you” time at least once a week. Rather it be watching your favorite shows, taking a bubble bath, getting a mani/pedi, hanging out with your girlfriends, etc YOU DESERVE IT! REPEAT with me I DESERVE ME TIME. Don’t get so caught up in this crazy thing we call life, take some time to breath and enjoy it and celebrate yourself!

If you have any ways you like to relax and have “you” time, leave me a comment below .I love to hear from y’all! Hope you enjoyed!
