No Written Rules

Ladies, sometimes we just have to break the rules!!

First things first, if you’re like us and most women, we struggle with how critical we are on ourselves! Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. Every commercial, song, magazine and news article portrays “railway model skinny” but, it’s about having love and respect for yourself and the body God has blessed you with. It’s interesting how society has these rules on how women are supposed to act or look like, or what we should and should not wear. It’s up to our own individual selves to decide on how we show ourselves in public. It is also up to us as women to support and not judge each others choices. Be confident in your own skin and learn to love your body and that will be a huge accomplishment for yourself!!!!

Don’t let society define how you want to portray yourself. If you want to wear that one piece of clothing item for the rest of your life, you GO GIRL and you ROCK IT, because that’s what makes you comfortable. It’s something that should make you feel self-defined. We are all different and beautiful in our own way. We should not judge others or ourselves. Let us all work on self-improvement and progression…for life! There is always room for that. Wake up each morning and tell yourself how beautiful YOU are!!!

While doing our first shoot for the blog, Kacie and I, were so hard ourselves with how we looked in our pictures. We felt that this would be a great article to not only inspire ourselves for future shoots but to let all women know, they are beautiful!!!

Secondly, lets get into what we are wearing in this post!

The Maurices Pants I (Kacie) am wearing are killer!!! Very versatile for dressy business or casual Fridays. They are super basic but I am obsessed with the fit. If you’re built like me with a little extra in the back ;), you can relate when its hard to find a good pair of jeans to fit you correctly. I strongly recommend these! These are probably the best pair of jeans I own and oh so affordable. Kacie’s outfit details: Top and Undershirt: Mimosa Boutique, Jeans and Wedges: Maurices , Hat: Dillards and Watch: Michael Kors.

I, (Mistle) chose this outfit for the shoot because the weather had been nasty that day and I just wanted to be comfortable. Let’s be honest, sometimes being comfortable wins over being overly dressy, especially when the weather in the South, does not want to corporate with you! Mistle’s outfit details: Shirt: Kohls, Jeans: Target, Clutch: Charming Charlies and Watch: Michael Kors.

We hope you enjoyed this post and our outfits! Please feel free to leave any comments below!
