Key West & The Bahamas 2015

Happy Monday Yall! Hope everyone had a great weekend and for all the Mothers out there, we hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day! Today is going to be all about my cruise to Key West and the Bahamas that I went on last week.

So let me just tell you how happy I was to go on a vacation last week! This vacation was much-needed after the last month or so that I’ve had with craziness at work. I’m sure everyone can relate to being happy to go on a vacation when life gets crazy (even if it’s just a stay at home vacation).

This past week I went on a Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Dream ship. The ship is one of the newest ones Carnival has and can I just say that this ship is amazing. I’ve been on two cruises prior to this and this is by far the biggest ship I’ve been on. The cruise ship is able to hold 3646 guests (not including all the staff that is onboard). That’s a lot of people!! The ship has two dual level dining rooms, steak house and the most popular Lido deck with burgers, pizza and ice cream.

If you’ve never taken a cruise before, I highly recommend Carnival. I have yet to have a bad experience on any of my cruises (so far). The staff on the ships are amazing in every way possible! They truly do go out of their way to make the guests have the best experience they can have. Most of the staff stay on the ships for six months at a time and typically have one to two months off (working 7 days a week with 12 hour shifts or more per day). Can you imagine being away from all your family and friends for that long? This made me appreciate even more what I have in my life because I am able to see my friends and family pretty often. So definitely appreciate the staff if you go on a cruise because they work hard just to make YOU happy.

Now on to a few pictures of my adventures!

Here was our amazing cruise ship. It really was an awesome boat!

Here are a few pictures of what our room looked like on the ship (we didn’t spent much time in the room).

Right when I got on the ship. As you can tell…I was ready to get my vacation started.

First stop was Key West and can I just say I love Key West!

2nd stop on the cruise was to Free Port, Bahamas. Of course getting off the ship there was a Senor Frogs. As you can tell, I barely met the height requirement. Lol. I didn’t take a lot of pictures in Free Port because were we were at on the island was fairly small and we did not leave to further explore upon that.

The one thing I wanted to do on this cruise was visit a beach and that’s exactly what i did. This is Cabbage beach in Nassau, Bahamas. It is one of the very few free beaches that you can go on in Nassau. It truly was amazing! The water was breath taking (along with everything else). I spent a few hours swimming and laying out on the beach that day.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures I shared from my vacation last week! I wish I was still on vacation at the beach! If you’ve been on a cruise, let us know which one you went on and how you liked it! Also, if you have any other vacation recommendations on where to go (even if it’s not a cruise), let us know! Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!
