Today I am doing a different type of post than what I normally do. These past two days have been extremely stressful for me at work. I have almost been to the point of wanting to get up and leave because I am so stressed out and frustrated. Now, yes we all have these days, they come and go. However, lately I have truly been questioning on if I am happy with what I am doing. I have days were my job is great and days where I am so miserable I want to break down and cry. It takes a lot for me to get to that point.
So what is the best thing to do when you are stressed (well other than crying or having a nice cocktail)? Pray. Praying has always helped me feel better one way or the other. While praying today to give me strength to not lose my “religion” on everyone (literally), I figured I’d share some of my favorite versus/prayers, that I keep in my thoughts while I’m having a bad day. I hope these help you as well, when you are having a #icanteven day (s) like myself.
Prayer for Anxiety and Stress
Oh Lord,
Let me hear you.
My soul is weary.
Worry, fear, and doubt,
surround me,
On every side
Yet your sweet mercy
Cannot be held back
From those that cry out to you,
Hear my cry.
Let me trust in your mercy.
Show me how. Free me
Free me from anxiety and stress.
That I may find rest
In your loving arms.
Amen.
Versus:
“And he will be the source of peace” Micah 5:5
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28
“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my god, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
These are just a few of my favorite bible verses and prayers that help keep my going when I no longer feel that I have the energy too. Do you have any versus, prayers or sayings that help you through those rough days?
I love this. We often forget how powerful prayer is. Most people use it in time of need. I like the perspective to pray for thanks for all I have and to bring abundance to those I love. Keep up the great work!
Thank You so much!! It’s gotten me through my rough days recently (well even when I’m not having bad days).
Great post! Thanks for sharing!
Thank You Bernadette!!!
Thank you so much for sharing. It’s easy to give in to the stress. Prayer is our most powerful tool. We lift our worries to God and he will answer to our prayers. Sometimes when it gets to be too much He tries to show us that you need to take a new, better path. I’m always praying for guidance and strength to get rid of stress.
Thank You Andrea!!! I agree. I’ve been having some rough days this week with work and I have questioned if I should stay or go to a different path. I will continue to pray and seek his guidance.
you and I were on the same page yesterday for our post!! 🙂
love you!
Love you too sista!
