Monday Coffee Talk

Happy Monday Y’all! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I’ve spent mine a little under the weather but hopefully I’ll be back to normal soon. Can I just say…I can’t believe it’s already August. This year really has flown by! I am really excited for fall to get here because of the cooler weather (eventually), football season and just everything associated with fall. How about everyone else?

So the past few Monday’s I have been doing this great link up with Jasmine and Courtney, where I have been sharing my weekly goals with you.

Here’s a recap of my goals from last week:

1. Finish reading the Husbands Secret. Unfortunately I did not finish reading the book; however, I am almost done. So I guess you can say I partially complete this goal.

2. Continue to clean out my closet. I was able to get rid of some more clothes (which made my boyfriend really happy).

3. Get more followers on Instagram. My followers have continuously gone up. Thank you to everyone who is following me and showing my love on Instagram. I greatly appreciate all of you!

This week’s goals:

1. Finish reading the Husband’s Secret. I’m so close!

2. Organize my makeup. I have a lot of makeup and for the most part it is organized, though I could do a little better.

3. Start saving more money. This is something that will always be a goal for me but I really want to buckle down on not spending as much.

Hopefully I can accomplish all of these goals. I’ll be coming up with my August goals later this week for a post as well. Figure weekly and monthly goals are always good to have.

Have you set any goals for yourself this week? I’d love to hear what they are! Hope everyone has an amazing Monday!

  1. I organized my make-up recently, it was a great feeling! I still need to go through the closet though, that’s going to be a big project.

  2. I hope you feel better soon! I’ve been needing to go through my closet/drawers and purge a lot, so I’m hoping to finally get that done this weekend!

    • Thank You Rachel! Hopefully whatever it is that I’ve got, will go away soon. I’ve been trying hard lately to get rid of things I don’t need anymore. My boyfriend and I would eventually like to buy a bigger house, which if that happens, it’s always good to get rid of old things.

  3. This seems like a food “doable” list. Do you employ any specific methods for realizing your goals? The saving money one is always a challenge for me.

    • I do not have a specific method for realizing my goals. Every Sunday I try to come up with doable goals for that week, in hopes of achieving them. I’ve done pretty well recently with the ones I’ve set for myself. Hopefully that can continue.

I too need to save more money. Especially now that I have a wedding to pay for.

    • I’ve been trying really heard to cut back on things but sometimes it’s not always easy. Wedding are really expensive these days but you can find a lot of cute DIY’s to cut down the price. Good luck with your wedding planning.

  6. Sorry to hear you’re not feeling great. Hope that changes fast! I am right there with you on the fall thing. I can’t wait! I had big plans to get my house is ship-shape this summer but until yesterday my office looked like a bomb went off. Luckily it’s mostly picked up now but I have a ways to go.

    • Thank You Miranda! I’m feeling a little better but the ickiness is still there. I’ve been slowly but surely trying to get our house in better shape. It’s not as easy as it sounds.

    • I hate organizing my closet but it needed to be done. I try to do it at least twice a year. Thank You Shann! Hopefully I can accomplish my goals this week.

    • I’ve recently been setting goals for myself/blog. It’s really helpful for me. Sometimes though I do not always accomplish the goals but at least I know I tried. I hate cleaning out my closet but once it is done, it’s worth it. Thank You so much for stopping by!
