My Favorite Makeup Brushes: Face Edition

Happy Wednesday!! Today I am going to be talking about some of my favorite makeup brushes that I use often for my face.

brushes

One// Fan Brush-I use this to primarily to apply my highlighter. It’s also great to wipe away eye shadow fallout.

Two// Flat Foundation Brush-I apply my foundation with this (when I don’t use my beauty blender) and it’s also great for blending your Concealer.

Three//Angled Foundation Brush-You can use this to apply your concealer and foundation. It’s really great for blending cream blush and bronzer as well.

Four//Powder Brush-I apply my powder foundation & setting powder with this. You can also use it for your blush and Bronzers. A powder brush is great for blending your blush together too.

Five//Β Stippling Brush-I apply my blush and highlighter with my stippling brush primarily. It’s also great for applying liquid or cream foundation.

Six//Angled Blush Brush-This is great for not only applying your blush but you can use it to apply bronzer & highlight. I also use this brush for contouring.

Seven//Blush Brush-I use this to blend out my blush, bronzer and highlight.

Now I didn’t picture my beauty blender but that is my favorite item to use on my face. If you don’t have one, I recommend getting one. It’s amazing and a complete game changer.

Do you have any favorite brushes you use on your face when applying your makeup?

  1. I love a flat-top brush when applying cream blush. I haven’t tried the beauty blender, but with everyone in love with it, I should prob hop on that bandwagon!

I honestly don’t know how I put on makeup before I got my Beauty Blender! It has changed everything about the way I put on my makeup! I love that thing!

I agree Chelsie! I was like what was makeup before my beauty blender? I’ve tried blocking out those times. Lol.

I agree that a flat-top brush is great for applying cream blush. I like to apply my colourpop blushes with a flat top brush. Beauty blenders are amazing! πŸ™‚

I have used a flat top kabuki brush before to apply my foundation but I feel that the beauty blender works a little better for me. Now I still use my foundation brushes as well but my love for the beauty blender typically wins. Fan brushes are great as well! πŸ™‚

I got my set from BH Cosmetics and I love it. I do have some random makeup brushes as well that I use. As much makeup as I have, I need as many brushes as I can get. πŸ™‚

Jacynta I just started using a beauty blender almost a year ago. So don’t feel bad I was extremely behind! The brushes I have pictured are from BH Cosmetics and they are amazing. I love them. I’ve never tried out any of the makeup forever one’s yet though.

You’re welcome Jess! Makeup brushes can be extremely overwhelming at times. Believe me when I first start wearing makeup I just used the typical brushes. As I started learning more about makeup, I quickly learned what makeup brushes I really needed. I’ll be posting my favorite eye makeup brushes next week. πŸ™‚
