Happy Monday Y’all. For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you all know that I have been talking about doing a review on the Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette. I wanted to have it up on Friday last week but what I thought was food poisoning, was actually the flu. So I’ve been down for a few days. I am so happy I am finally getting this review up! I have not done a beauty review in quite some time now.
I am such a HUGE fan of Too Faced, they are one of my favorite high-end makeup brands. I have yet to purchase a Too Faced product that I have not liked. I can say this because most of my make up collection consistent of products from Too Faced. So of course when I saw that Too Faced was coming out with yet another amazing palette, I had to get it.
So today I want to share my opinion on the palette to give you a better idea if it is truly worth all the HYPE it has gotten. So on to this amazing palette!
Price: $36 for 0.39 oz
About the Palette:
- It was inspired by the shade Peanut Butter that originally appeared Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette.
- There are nine amazingly beautiful shades in the palette. Four are matte and five are shimmer.
- It is infused with antioxidant rich cocoa powder (this goes for all of their palettes).
- It does not contain peanuts
- It smells like a nutty, chocolaty mixture. It honestly smells amazing!
Now lets talk packaging. How adorable is this packaging?! I love how they made it look like an actual PB&J Sandwich. Too Faced never disappoints when it comes to the packaging of their palettes. This palette is extremely small and compact making it very travel friendly.
Another great thing I love about Too Faced palettes is that each of them come with three complete looks that you can recreate (for those days where you are not sure what look you want to accomplish).
Swatches (L To R-these are not in the order of the palette): Jelly, Extra Creamy, Jammin, Peanut Brittle, Bananas, Peanut Butter Cup, Peanut Butter, Spread the Love & Nuts About U.
Jelly: Is described as a vibrant orchid.
Extra Creamy: Is described as a matte creamy beige.
Jammin: Is described as a dark chocolate with golden sparkle.
Peanut Brittle: Is described as a metallic burnt orange (one of my favorite shades from the palette).
Bananas: Is described as a soft peachy gold with fine gold shimmer.
Peanut Butter Cup: Is described as a metallic golden bronze with gold sparkle (another one of my favorites).
Peanut Butter: Is described as a medium orange brown (of course this is my most favorite shade in the palette because this is why the palette was created).
Spread the Love: Is described as a medium peach with gold sparkle.
Nuts About U: Is described as a matte brown with red.
I will say that I am very impressed with this palette. The color pigmentation is amazing. All of the swatches were done with no primer and 1-2 swatches swipes. I love that the shadows are very smooth, buttery and very blendable. This palette contains a lot of great warm neutral shades along with a fun pop of color, so you can create a lot of great different looks with this palette. I do however; wish there were another fun pop of “Jelly” color but I still love this palette.
I hope this review was helpful! I plan on doing more reviews on products very soon. Will you be picking this palette up?
