June 2016 Favorites

Happy Monday Y’all!! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I must say mine went by too fast and everything I wanted to accomplish, I didn’t get to. I chose to relax instead of being crazy busy. Which I probably needed more than anything. Sometimes you just need those weekends where you do nothing. Today, I want to share my favorites from June with you.

  1. Me Before You by JoJo Moyes// I am a little behind on readying this because everyone I know has already read this book. I don’t want to give too much away but I will say the book is really good! I really want to see the movie as well.
  2. Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Treatment $24// I love how this helps reduce the time it takes to blow dry my hair. It also makes my hair extremely soft
  3. Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream $52// When it comes to skin care products I don’t mind splurging. I have noticed a huge difference in how hydrated my skin has become (hence why it’s a hydrating cream) since using this cream. This is the first skin care line that I know of that uses probiotic technology. Tula claims that it is a multivitamin for your skin containing plant derived Squalene and extracts from watermelon, lentil and avocado oil. I promise that if you purchase this product you will not be disappointed in it! I will be doing a more in-depth review of this product, as well as others very soon!
  4. Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done $34// This product is perfect for wearing in the summer time! It is sheer which I typically do not like because I am a more full coverage type of girl, but this product really is amazing. According to Urban Decay it is a hybrid complexion perfector combined with all the benefits of skin treatment and protection with the coverage of a sheer foundation. It is kind of like a CC & BB cream mixed all in one.  I will say that it does blur out some of my imperfections but I still like to use a little bit of concealer with it to cover up any redness I have.
  5. Tula Revitalizing Eye Cream $52// Since using this cream my under eye area has been given life! I tend to have moderate dark circles under my eyes, as well as having some dryness. Since using this I have seen a huge difference in my dark circles being lessened, a slight reduce in my fine lines and a lot of hydration. I am in love with this product!
  6. ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Lyin’ King$6// If you haven’t tried ColourPop yet, you need too! The products are so affordable and great quality. Lyin’ King is so pretty! It’s a raspberry type of color. I do recommend putting on some chapstick before putting this on. The formula is not completely drying like a matte but is still best with a little more hydration.

So these were my favorites for June! What were some of your favorites? Let me know your recommendations in the comments below.

I might have to give that Urban Decay Naked Skin one and done a try. I was not a fan of their concealer from that line, I couldn’t find a color match. Hopefully I can with this product because I really like light weight foundation products in the summer!

Allie I really do love this product even though I like more of a full coverage foundation. I have used their concealer and I do like it as well. I am a big fan of MAC concealers but I am finding that as I get older it’s a little more drying. If you try out the One & Done let me know if you like it!

Taylor the Naked Skin One & Done is so light weight and sheer. It does a fairly good job of covering up the redness in my skin which is great. It’s so perfect for the hot summer!

  4. Okay, so I have to confess that I haven’t read Me Before You yet. I’m so behind and I haven’t tried Colour Pop either! What’s wrong with me?!? Those are both on my must try/read list. I think I have to add the Redken Pillow Proof to that list, too. These all look like great products!

Leslie Me Before You is so good! I def recommend that you read it. As far as ColourPop you have to try their products! I promise you won’t be disappointed (or at least I hope not). The Redken pillow proof is so awesome! I love that it takes me less time to blow dry my hair now.
