October 2016 Favorites

october2016favorites

October brought some new favorites to add to my list once again. I love finding new products that work for me each month. I also love sharing my favorites on the blog. I know I always look to other bloggers for reviews when it comes to purchasing products. Here were my favorites for October.

One//Sigma F79 Concealer Blend Kabuki Brush $23 This brush has easily become one of my favorite brushes to use. It makes blending out concealer so much easier and the application looks flawless afterwards.

Two//Puff Me Volumizing Cloud Mist $15.48  I have extremely fine hair so creating volume takes a little bit of time for me. My stylist used this on my hair and it made such a difference. My fine hair no longer sits on my head once I use this. It’s also easy to use which is great because I hate complicated hair products.

Three//Bumble and Bumble All Style Blow Dry $31 Another product that my stylist suggested and I fell in love with it. I put a small amount in my hair when it’s damp and then blow dry it. It helps reduce frizz which is highly appreciated with the crazy humidity we have here. It also protects against heat and absorbs oil in your hair. So it can also be used as a dry shampoo. I typically go 2 days without washing my hair when I use this product.

Four// Notion Ultra Matte ColourPop Lip $6 One of my new favorite lip colors for Fall. It’s a red violet shade and oh so pretty. I have a haul post coming up with this lip color included.

Five// Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder $38  I had received a sample size of this previously in an Ipsy bag (I think). After using my sample size, I knew I had to purchase more. I use it to bake my concealer and to reduce the shine on my nose. It keeps my concealer in place all day long and works amazing at keeping my f T-zone from being overly oily.

Six// Sigma F89 Bake Kabuki Brush $25 I had always used my beauty blender to set my powder when I baked my make up; however, after purchasing this brush I can’t stop using it to apply my setting powder. It has an angled brush head that is flat that is designed for setting powder. It’s also great for cleaning up your contour.

What are your favorites from this month? I’d love to know in the comments below.

  1. I’ve been contemplating purchasing a concealer brush. I think I’ll go into Sephora and have someone test one out on me because I want to see if it’ll really make a difference in application.

Catherine I really love my concealer brush. I have not tried any of the Sephora one’s though. I feel that it blends out my concealer faster then my beauty blender and it looks more blended in.

I have been dying to try Sigma brushes. I hear so many great things about them, but I just can’t justify the price haha I have 30-something brushes that are absolutely amazing and I maybe spent $50-60 on all of them. To me, that’s a win. But I may have to dive into the Sigma at some point. They’re just too tempting and great lol

Keating they are such great brushes! They are a little pricey but totally worth it because they are such a great quality. I have a brush set that I purchased about two years ago from BH and still use them like crazy. There are a lot of youtubers that have discount codes for Sigma. So if you do try them look for some codes for discounts. 🙂

Nellwyn the setting powder is amazing. I was happy I was able to get a free sample of it before purchasing it. Sigma brushes are great as well. I finally took the plunge and purchased some because they are a little pricey.

  16. These all sound like amazing products! I especially need to try the Puff Me and Bumble and Bumble because I have super fine hair, too and I need products that will seriously lift and volumize and hold my hair. I have been taking a hair and nails vitamin for about a month now, too and I really think it’s working.

I, too, love Colourpop. I just got three new lip shades and am loving them so much!

My stylist used that volumizing powder in my hair a couple weeks ago and I was undecided about how I felt. It did give me some initial lift, but it made my roots feel REALLY gritty and it fell flat again within a few hours. But I’m glad it’s working for you!

Chelsie it did feel a little gritty on my hair but nothing overly crazy. I still had lift in my hair when I woke up the next morning. That stinks that it did not work for your hair though. 🙁
