August 2017 Goals

Happy August Y’all! Can you believe it’s really August? I can’t!  I will say though that I am excited that we are getting a little closer to Fall (fingers crossed we get Fall here this year). Today I’m going to be recapping my July goals and share what I want to accomplish this month.

July Goals Revisited: Blog & Personal

-Save money for the wedding// Yes! Slowly but surely been saving up some money.

-Continue to pay of some of my student debt// I’ve been going very well at this, you can check this out to get all the details!

-Work out at least 2 x’s a week// Yes! Now i just really need to keep it up.

-Finish writing PR posts// I started some but have not finished all of them.

-Write four beauty posts// I only got around to writing two beauty posts this month.

-Finish reading The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda// Nope didn’t happen. I’m halfway through this book.

-Hit 900 Followers On Instagram // Yes! I am at 903! Thank You to all of those who have followed me. I appreciate all the love and support!! You guys are awesome! Though I will say nothing bugs me more than when bloggers with 20k+ followers, follow me and then unfollow me. I really wanted to call some of them out but decided to be classy.

5.5/7 Not too bad considering this month flew by and I was extremely busy.

August Goals: Blog & Personal

-Start putting together a vision board for the wedding// I have a ton of ideas for the wedding and I think that once I start putting together the things I really want will help me narrow down and finalize things. I’m so picky. Ahhh.

-Hit 925 Instagram followers// I have been trying really hard to focus more on Instagram and I am seeing some success. Let’s hope I can keep it up.

-Continue to grow my LipSense business// I tried LipSense for the first time a month ago and fell in love. I became a believer so I decided to become a distributor.

-Write three beauty posts// Once again I need to get back to the roots of my blog. So fingers crossed that I can do this!!!

So this month I just wanted to keep it simple when it came to my goals.

What are you goals for this month? What did you accomplish last month?

Good for you for deciding “to be classy”. Any fool can spew their frustrations; but it takes a lady with some self-control to take the high road – even when their frustration is legit. If it won’t change anything, it only makes us look bad. Proud of you, Mistle.

  2. Yay girl! You did a great job with July’s Goals. Here’s to knocking August’s Goals out, too! I love vision boards. I can imagine that your wedding board will be gorgeous!

I need in on your Lipsense group. I had no idea that you were already active with it! YAY you! I love that you are selling it now!!!

Love your post! I as well am trying to grow my IG following and trying to keep my posts ahead so I don’t feel pressured to write at the last minute. I get the saving for your wedding part. My engagement was 15 months and most if not all of it was saving for it. It’s a HUGE expense! If you look at my August goals…some of our goals are very similar. Check it out! Oh, and I also have a post on wedding planning and what I learned from it. I got married in April of this year. I hope it brings some insight! I love your blog!

  7. Awesome job on working out and saving for the wedding – I know how hard it can be! We paid for our wedding all on our own and saved for TWO years!! Best decision ever, though! You’ve got this!!

Monthly goals are so motivating! The vision board we made for our wedding really helped us get started planning when we didn’t know what to do first! Good luck!

  16. Your goals are very achievable, I know you can reach them! I have a goal of writing a fashion post for my blog. Fashion is sometimes a struggle for me since I don’t talk about it often.

  19. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! What an exciting time. My daughter Brooke and her fiancee Darin just got engaged in Italy. They found a gorgeous wedding venue. I’m really looking forward to helping Brooke select her wedding dress. I hope you write a special post about your Wedding vision board.

  20. Yay! Wedding planning is so much fun!! I’ve been married two years now, but I remember planning my wedding like it was yesterday. Way to go on paying off some debt, too! We just started paying down my hubby’s student loan debt, and it has felt so good to know that we are chipping away at it every month. I wish I could fast forward to just being debt-free, but it will come in due time. 🙂
