On Wednesdays We Confess Vol 37

humpdayconfessions

Wednesday is finally here again! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving last week. We had a house full of twenty people at my grandparents house. It was very crowded but we all had a good time. Now to get ready for Christmas! I can’t believe we are less than a month away. I wish the holidays would be a little longer. I’m sure others think I am completely crazy. Now on with my crazy confessions with this week with my sweet friend Leslie.

I confess that I am excited that the weather is going to be in the 50’s during the day time this week. It was 80 degrees yesterday.

I confess that I did not over eat for Thanksgiving this year. Only one plate with small portions. I was stuffed by the end though.

I confess that I still have not finished all of my Christmas shopping. At least I started.

I confess that I am loving my recent purchases from First Aid beauty.

I confess that I did not go Black Friday shopping. I stayed in my pjs and shopped online. I hate crowds.

I confess that I watched the Gilmore Girls Revival in one sitting over the weekend.

I confess that I feel the GG Revival was just okay. I thought it was going to be much better than what it was.

I confess that going back to work yesterday for the first time in five days was tough. I just wanted to be at home in my pjs watching netflix all day.

I confess that I one of my coworkers quit last week and they will probably not hire a replacement. Which means more work for me. Not so thrilled.

I confess that I just started reading Girl on the Train. I’m not far in to the book yet but I’m loving it so far. Can’t wait to see the movies.

I confess that I hate petty people in the work place. How old are we again? There is no need to start unnecessary drama.

Those are my confessions for this week!  Do you have anything fun to confess?

  1. It has been hot here too, I think the temperature here today is like 76 but then supposedly we are getting a cold front and I am so excited! I just can’t enjoy Christmas when it is so warm out! Girl on The Train was the last book I read and I loved it! I haven’t seen the movie yet!

Ashley I am so ready for some cold weather. I completely agree that Christmas just does not feel like Christmas unless it’s cold. I think last year it was hot for Christmas. Ugh. Let’s hope we get that cold weather! I am loving the book so far. I have not finished it yet though.

I definitely agree about the GG revival..for all of the months of anticipating and waiting and being excited about it, in the end it fell a bit flat for me. I heard somewhere that a lot of the actors/actresses (i.e. Jess) didn’t participate as much in the revival because they felt it was a step backwards in their career, which I get to an extent but then again that show gave him a start. Happy Wednesday!

Cara I agree. It was made to be so amazing and it just did not do it for me. I think they could have done a lot better and there were a lot of things that were not needed in the revival. I did love how they paid their respects to Richard. That was really sweet and I felt like they were so genuine on that. I also love that Lorelei and Luke got married. I just feel though that it did not show much of how the characters developed since we last saw them. I am shocked that Jess felt that way. I do love him though in This Is Us. Happy Wednesday to you as well!

  3. Girl! I wish the holidays would last longer, too. I’ve got zero Christmas shopping done and no desire to do much, either because I can’t stand crowds. Yay for on line shopping! I’ve never watched Gilmore Girls but I want to watch the revival. I have no idea if I should bing watch the entire series first though? I’m so sorry that work is tough right now. That really sucks that they aren’t going to hire someone else to fill the other girls place. That’s not exactly fair for you but I know you can do it girl! You’re capable of amazing things!

Leslie I have half of my Christmas shopping done. Still have a good bit to go. I am like gosh I sure wish I could win the lottery! I do a lot of shopping online if I can. I will say that if you’ve never watched GG the revival may not make sense completely. GG is a great show to watch though! Work will be okay up until Jan 1st. After that we get very busy. So it will be me and my other coworker doing the work primarily but it is a lot for two people to do. I’m sure I’ll have more feelings to confess on that situation when it comes. Lol. 🙂

  4. Ughh I HATE petty workplace drama. It’s happened to me before where they don’t hire a replacement and just expect you to pick it up. That really sucks and I’m sorry it happened to you.

Alexandra I do as well. I am really keeping my fingers crossed about them hiring another person. I doubt we will. So here is to lots of stress in the future. Wish me luck!

  7. That’s a bummer that you will be taking on more responsibilities at work. Hopefully you won’t be overworked. You could always negotiate a pay raise since you will be doing two people’s jobs.

Elizabeth Ann if we do not hire anyone to take over that position again, I will be overworked. We lost a person over the summer and that added more work. If they do not give us a raise for doing more work, I probably will not be staying. It’s only fair.

I hate petty drama at work as well. I rather not get involved and try to stay out of it best I can! I know it’s tough to go back to work after a few days off! Sorry to hear that your workload increased bc of that co.worker leaving! Hope it won’t be too much! xxx

Chrissy it just isn’t needed. I was not directly involved in it but it involved my department and people lying about things while my boss was out. I agree having to go back to work after a few days is always rough. I do have time off though for Christmas, so that will be nice. 🙂 Let’s hope they hire someone for the other person’s spot. If not things are going to get very stressful come January.

I confess that I HAVE started Christmas shopping but that I haven’t put my tree up yet! I don’t know what’s wrong with me! I’ve been telling my husband every night for the last 4 days “we’re putting the tree up tonight” but we never get to it! AHH! Tonight, hopefully!

Chelsie I have not put up any Christmas decorations yet either. I just bought some new ones two weekends ago. We only do a small fake Christmas tree because we honestly have no room for a tree! Hopefully one day!

I’m so sad to keep hearing people say they were disappointed or didn’t really like the GG revival. I really enjoyed it. Sure there were things I didn’t love, but in general, I was entertained and excited.

Katie is was just not as good as I expected. Don’t get me wrong there were things I loved but overall it was hyped up to be great and it wasn’t. There were a lot of things I think that could have been left out and more could have been added in.
