Play! by Sephora January Review

Do you have an addiction to subscription services? I do! One of my favorites so far is Play! by Sephora. You get five sample products and a perfume. The best part about this box is that it’s only $10 and each box has a theme. January’s theme was Beauty, Set, Go.  All of the products included are meant to detox and refuel your beauty routine. Here’s what I received in my box.

Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser (Full size $22//$4.84 Value) // I have only used this cleanser once to try it out (I am very picky on what I use on my face). I will say that my face felt very smooth after using it. The cleanser is in gel form but lathers up once you put it under water. Along with this being a cleanser it’s also a face mask and exfoliator. It helps draw out surface oil, reduces shine and purify’s your pores. It is safe for all skin types. Another great thing about this is that it is perfect for traveling.

FARMACY Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask (Full size $56// $3.38 value) // This mask made my face so hydrated and soft. While wearing it, it did get warm and had a slight tingle but nothing that was uncomfortable. It felt really nice on my skin almost like I was getting a facial at a spa. It helps with dryness, fine lines/wrinkles and dullness while being save to use on all skin tones. It is pricey for a face mask but considering it contains honey I would not expect it to be cheap.

OUAI Treatment Masque (Full Size $32// Value $6.67 )// I have not used this masque yet. I have heard that it is amazing though. It can be used on all hair types. This masque helps restore damaged hair and strengthens hair to prevent future damage. It contains artichoke leaf extract that helps seal the hair cuticles and protects hair color from oxidative degradation. I look forward to using this masque soon.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey (Full Size $17// Value $9.71)//  I really like this lipstick. When I applied it, it was very glossy with a red tint of color (still very natural). It is one of their best sellers.

AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ (Full Size $60//Value $11.43)//  Another product in the box that I have not used. I feel that the shades that were sent to me are not fit for my skin tone. That may change if I were to actually use it. When I went to see what range of shades they had on Sephora’s website they offer five shades. So not really a huge range to fit the different skin tones. This is a CC cream that hydrates, protects skin, and delivers buildable coverage. I do love the idea of a cushion formula; however with very little shades available and it being $60…I will pass on this.

Tory Burch Love Relentlessly (Full Size $68-$115// Value $1.69)// This is the first perfume that I have received in my box that I actually like! It smells so good and very light!! It has a hint of floral combined with pink pepper, orris root and patchouli. I would purchase this perfume for myself.

Total Value of box: $37.72

I really enjoyed the products in this months box. I had not used any of these products until receiving this box. The only con is the actual bag that the products came in. I felt that it wasn’t as great as the rest of the bags I have received.

Have you tried any of these products? What subscription services do you subscribe to?

  1. I’ve been dying to try Tarte’s cleansing stick! Also, the Clinique almost lipsticks are the BEST!

  2. I have never tried this box but it definitely looks like one of the better ones! I tried birch box a couple years ago and canceled because I was just piling up on my sample sizes and never using them. But I may think about trying this one!

  6. I love the Black Honey Almost Lipstick from Clinique! It’s such a gorgeous shade. I tend to reach for it during the fall… I think that’s when I bought it, so I always think fall with that one. 🙂 That honey mask sounds really cool. I should probably look into honey or products with honey as a skincare product, because it sounds like it would do great things for my skin.

We are debating on doing the Hello Fresh box like once a month or once every couple months. We are obsessed with it.

Does anyone know what happened to Dime Piece LA celebrity streetwear brand? I seem to be unable to proceed to the checkout on Dimepiecela site. I’ve just bought the Dimepiece Open Up Laptop Sleeve from Amazon and totally love it xox

  21. I run a vape store submission site and we have had a listing from a vape shop in the USA that additionally offers for sale CBD products. A Calendar month afterwards, PayPal has contacted use to claim that our account has been restricted and have asked us to take away PayPal as a payment method from our vape store directory site. We do not sell CBD items such as CBD oil. We merely provide marketing solutions to CBD firms. I have checked out Holland & Barrett– the UK’s Top Health Store and if you take a good look, you will witness that they sell a somewhat substantial stable of CBD products, primarily CBD oil and they also happen to accept PayPal as a payment solution. It seems that PayPal is applying twos sets of rules to many different companies. Because of this stipulation, I can no longer accept PayPal on my CBD-related website. This has limited my payment possibilities and currently, I am intensely contingent on Cryptocurrency payments and direct bank transfers. I have sought advice from a lawyer from a Magic Circle law office in London and they said that what PayPal is doing is totally unlawful and inequitable as it ought to be applying a consistent standard to all firms. I am still to speak to another lawyer from a US law firm in The city of london to see what PayPal’s legal position is in the USA. For the time being, I would be highly appreciative if anybody here at targetdomain could provide me with different payment processors/merchants that work with CBD companies.
