I say this every month but I can not believe that May is here already. April flew by for me because I was busy with work projects and events. Though April was busy, I accomplished several things which could have stressed me out. Instead of allowing the craziness get to me, it gave me fuel to want to kick butt. I will admit though with work being so busy, my blog suffered a bit. So I really plan on getting back into gear with blogging. I have several ideas for future posts, so be on the look out. Now let’s see how I did with my goals last month!
April Goals Revisited: Blog & Personal
-Write 3 beauty posts// This did not happen. So this makes me want to get my self into high gear and bring y’all come beauty posts!
–Start putting together the two new series I will be featuring on the blog// Yes!!! My Blogger Bliss series is underway. Meet Leslie and Kathleen. The other series is in the works.
-Continue to eat healthy// Yes. For the most part I ate healthy but there were days were I had cheat days. I consider that balance. So I’m good with that.
-Do some Spring decluttering// I did get rid of some beauty products that I was not going to use or that I had too many off. I gave them to my aunt to try out.
3/4 I’m pretty proud of myself for accomplishing my goals last month. I took it easy on myself because things have been very busy lately.
May Goals: Blog & Personal
-Write two beauty posts// Yes I know I did not write any beauty posts last month but this month I’m determined to get this done!
-Finish reading “Talking As Fast As I Can” by Lauren Graham// I started reading this book and I’m enjoying it so far.
-Get my skin in check// Y’all my forehead has been having some series breakouts. I hate it because I have never had issues with acne but with a new medication I have been taking….it has caused me to breakout. I’m not having it. These breakouts have to go. Let’s hope I can get it under control.
-Continue to reach out to brands for collaborations// I have been getting out of my comfort zone and contacting brands to be considered for collaborations. I’m not getting my hopes up but hey at least I’m getting out of my comfort zone.
-Continue getting ideas together for my series collaboration// I would love to have this series started by June.
-Get back to working out 3 x’s a week// I slacked a little last month and was not consistent.
What did you accomplish in April? What are your goals for this month? Let me know in the comments below!
These are some great goals, Mistle! I love that you list reaching out to brands for collabs. What a great idea!
Thank You Lecy! Reaching out to brands has been a huge step for me. I am so grateful to be working with some amazing brands so far.
Yes I need to set goals as well. Blogging, writing, exercise goals would be a good start. Thanks for the motivation:-)
Kathiey setting goals is a great idea! It helps me stay on track (for the most part). I’m glad I was able to motivate you!
Talking As Fast As I Can is on my to read list! I haven’t been able to read much lately – I am still trying to get in some time to finish The Weekenders that I start in March!
Ashley I loved reading Talking As Fast As I Can! It was such an easy read! I need to read The Weekenders!
I still haven’t picked up Lauren Graham’s book! Glad you’ve been enjoying it so far.
Adriana it was really good! I enjoyed reading it!
I slacked with workouts last month, too, so I definitely need to get back into the routine. Good luck with your goals this month! They look great. 🙂
Crystal I hope you were able to get back into working out. I have slowly but surely started up again.
I’m excited to see the new blogging series! How fun!
Thanks Cara! Hopefully we will have it up and running soon. 🙂
These are really great goals! I want to read that book too. Looks great! I did not accomplish my goals for April. It was a tough month for me but hoping the month of May will be better!
Thank You Elizabeth! I hope that you have been able to get some reading in. It’s okay if you did not accomplish all of your goals in April! It happens!
OMG I love Lauren Grahams book!
Neely I really enjoyed reading her book! It was so good!
You go girl! I need to get back to working out 3x a week again too.
Thank You Jenny!! I really need to get back into the routine of working out more.
You did a great job with your goals last month! I find that cheat days are essential to maintaining a healthy attitude most other days. And my skin has been in meltdown mode for almost a year. It had a serious meltdown in Louisiana and just hasn’t bounced back. I’m hoping to find some new products to try this month!
Thank You Chelsie! I agree that sometimes you just need to have that cupcake or whatever it is on your cheat days. My skin has gotten a little better recently but still has it’s moments. I have been trying some new skincare items, which I will be reviewing soon. I’m from Louisiana and I definitely know how those melt downs can be!
These re great goals! My goals for April were pretty successful but May has some high and intense ones so well see where that goes 🙂
Thank You Lauren! Intense goals aren’t bad to have! I’m sure you will do great at accomplishing them!
Let me know how you like the book when you finish it! 🙂
I definitely will! It’s been such an easy read so far. I read 100 pages straight.
