Life Lately January 2017

I am finally back from my blogging break! I haven’t blogged in almost a month and while it was much needed, I am so happy to be back into the swing of things. I’ve missed interacting with all of you, so let’s get caught up.

+I am in the process of changing things around here on the blog. Just the look though! The posts will still be the same of course. If there is anything you’d like to see on the blog let me know in the comments below and I will try my best to make it happen.

+I have lots of ideas for upcoming content. I can’t wait to get everything written out to share!

+I am working on a new blogging series with my sweet friend Leslie. It’s going to be a lot of fun.

+ I’m so excited that my wedding dress will be coming in next month. It will feel even more real that everything is coming together once it comes in.

+My grandfather has been gone for two months now. I had a lot of breakdowns last week because everything reminded me of him. I miss him dearly but am happy to be going to visit his grave again this weekend.

+I’m planning on working on my self care more this year. I will be doing a challenge soon and I’m looking forward to it very much. Would y’all like me to share the challenge on the blog?

+I want to do another Q&A on the blog. I need y’alls help with asking questions please! I’d greatly appreciate it if you’d ask me some questions in the comments below. šŸ™‚ You can ask my anything (as long as it’s appropriate-lol).

+I got everything in place for our rehearsal dinner. Which makes me very happy. I am slowly crossing more and more items off my list of things to do for the wedding.

That’s everything that has been going on with me recently. Nothing overly exciting but I hope you all enjoyed catching up. I’d love to know what is going on in your lives currently.

Sounds like you have some exciting things coming up with the blog & with real life!

I have a q&a question for you-if you could have a meal with any five people (either passed away or alive, celebrities or just regular joe’s) who would they be?
I love hearing the answer to that one!

  4. Hey Sweet Friend! I’m so sorry you’ve been going through so much and missing your grandpa so much. I wish I could tell you that it stops or you get used to it but that’s simply not true. I think that, over time, we learn to live without that person but we never stop missing them. I miss my grandpa daily and he’s been gone for 7 years in March. You just have to remember the good times and allow yourself time to grieve when ever you think about him. Somedays I still do.

Blogging breaks aren’t a bad thing. I know it’s been needed for you and I know the plans we have together. I’m so excited for it all! Yes to seeing the self care challenge on the blog! Actually, I might want to join you on it šŸ˜‰ And YES! to Sarah joining us on the collab we have coming up!!!

Ugh. I just realized I need to turn this into an e-mail to you! I’ve got so much to say but yay love on everything coming up and on getting your wedding dress! I feel like Elle Woods’ cheerleaders in Legally Blonde, except it’s me cheering for you!!!

Thank You ma’am!! It’s been a process but it’s slowly getting better. I still have my days though. I will always miss him but I know that he is watching over me, so that makes me smile. I really felt that though my blogging break was 5 months long, it was needed. I will slowly be easing my way back in with posts. I have lot of content I want to write about, just have to get to writing it. šŸ™‚

I will be having my self care challenge coming soon! Once I get it posted, I would love to have you join me friend! We still need to talk about our collab and of course get Sarah in on it! I love your long comments!!!

  7. Welcome back! I know how good it feels to do a little blog break! I did one last month, and while I was still writing, everything flowed so much more easily without all the other stuff that going into blogging distracting me!

Thank You Rachel! I came back and then left again. I was gone a little longer than expected but now I am officially back. šŸ™‚ Taking a blogging break is much needed at times. I do feel that when you take a break writing comes so much easier and your content is much better.

  8. I always believe that when you get the feeling you need a break it’s because you do. Taking a break for me usually leads to better content and better production in the end.

Tiffany, I agree! I came back for a little bit then went back on another blogging break. I’m slowly getting back into blogging again. Sometimes you just need that break to refresh yourself.
