October brought some new favorites to add to my list once again. I love finding new products that work for me each month. I also love sharing my favorites on the blog. I know I always look to other bloggers for reviews when it comes to purchasing products. Here were my favorites for October.
One//Sigma F79 Concealer Blend Kabuki Brush $23 This brush has easily become one of my favorite brushes to use. It makes blending out concealer so much easier and the application looks flawless afterwards.
Two//Puff Me Volumizing Cloud Mist $15.48 I have extremely fine hair so creating volume takes a little bit of time for me. My stylist used this on my hair and it made such a difference. My fine hair no longer sits on my head once I use this. It’s also easy to use which is great because I hate complicated hair products.
Three//Bumble and Bumble All Style Blow Dry $31 Another product that my stylist suggested and I fell in love with it. I put a small amount in my hair when it’s damp and then blow dry it. It helps reduce frizz which is highly appreciated with the crazy humidity we have here. It also protects against heat and absorbs oil in your hair. So it can also be used as a dry shampoo. I typically go 2 days without washing my hair when I use this product.
Four// Notion Ultra Matte ColourPop Lip $6 One of my new favorite lip colors for Fall. It’s a red violet shade and oh so pretty. I have a haul post coming up with this lip color included.
Five// Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder $38 I had received a sample size of this previously in an Ipsy bag (I think). After using my sample size, I knew I had to purchase more. I use it to bake my concealer and to reduce the shine on my nose. It keeps my concealer in place all day long and works amazing at keeping my f T-zone from being overly oily.
Six// Sigma F89 Bake Kabuki Brush $25 I had always used my beauty blender to set my powder when I baked my make up; however, after purchasing this brush I can’t stop using it to apply my setting powder. It has an angled brush head that is flat that is designed for setting powder. It’s also great for cleaning up your contour.
What are your favorites from this month? I’d love to know in the comments below.
I’ve been contemplating purchasing a concealer brush. I think I’ll go into Sephora and have someone test one out on me because I want to see if it’ll really make a difference in application.
Catherine I really love my concealer brush. I have not tried any of the Sephora one’s though. I feel that it blends out my concealer faster then my beauty blender and it looks more blended in.
Sounds like you found some awesome products this month! I currently use the elf translucent powder but I’ve heard nothing but good things about the laura mercier one too!
Cara I have heard that the Elf setting powder is also really great. I may have to give it a try soon!
I have been dying to try Sigma brushes. I hear so many great things about them, but I just can’t justify the price haha I have 30-something brushes that are absolutely amazing and I maybe spent $50-60 on all of them. To me, that’s a win. But I may have to dive into the Sigma at some point. They’re just too tempting and great lol

Keating they are such great brushes! They are a little pricey but totally worth it because they are such a great quality. I have a brush set that I purchased about two years ago from BH and still use them like crazy. There are a lot of youtubers that have discount codes for Sigma. So if you do try them look for some codes for discounts. 🙂
That Laura Mercia powder sounds amazing! I really need some new makeup brushes actually and i’ve never tried Sigma so I’ll have to check those out!
Nellwyn the setting powder is amazing. I was happy I was able to get a free sample of it before purchasing it. Sigma brushes are great as well. I finally took the plunge and purchased some because they are a little pricey.
Those brushes look awesome, I really need some new ones!
Becky they are really great brushes. A little on the pricey side but I am okay with splurging on brushes if they are good quality.
Sigma brushes are so amazing!! I bought a set of them years ago and I still use them every day. I really need to buy myself a setting powder – I’m so behind on this!
I agree! I recently took the plunge and purchased some. I have yet to be disappointed in them. They have so many great setting powders. I know a lot of people like the Elf Setting powder as well. I have not tried it out yet though.
I love trying out new products, so this post is perfect! And I haven’t heard of Puff Me yet, so I’m goign to check it out! Thanks!!
Lyndsay I love trying out products as well! Puff Me is really great! It can be used for all hair types. 🙂
So many goodies here! I’d love to try some of them.
I agree Jenny! Lots of great products. Hopefully you’ll get to try some out soon!
I’ve never heard of that “puff me” product but if it gives a little volumizer boost I may try looking around for it! Did your hairdresser say it really only works well on fine hair though? Just curious!
Rachel I love Puff Me. It is not only for fine hair. She just suggested it because she knows it’s hard for me to get volume in my hair. If you try it out let me know!
That colourpop lip color looks so perfect for fall! I love bold shades like this one!
Chelsea it’s such a pretty color! I’ll have swatches coming soon. 🙂
I am all about changing up my lip color. Lips gloss or lip stick time for some change.
Candy changing lip colors is always fun. I like a good mixture of shades.
I’ve been wanting to try the Laura Mercier Powder and ColorPop lipstick! Great post!
Liz both are great products! I love that Colourpop is so affordable!
I definitely want to try that brush!!! I still use a beauty blender but have heard great things about those
brushes!
Casey it’s an amazing brush. It is on the pricey side but well worth it! I find it blends quicker then using the beauty blender.
I actually need to buy a little more makeup. Thanks for the suggestions!
Brittany buying new makeup is always fun! Hope you get some good stuff!
I LOVE that Laura Mercier loose powder, one of my go to’s to lessen the shine. Great list!
I love the powder as well. One of my favorite setting powders so far.
These all sound like amazing products! I especially need to try the Puff Me and Bumble and Bumble because I have super fine hair, too and I need products that will seriously lift and volumize and hold my hair. I have been taking a hair and nails vitamin for about a month now, too and I really think it’s working.
I, too, love Colourpop. I just got three new lip shades and am loving them so much!
Sweet Friend both products are great for fine hair. I also take hair, skin and nail pills and I’ve seen a big difference in the texture of my hair. What new lip shades did you get from Colourpop?
I’ve been dying to purchase a kabuki brush! I think they’re so practical & I love everything makeup, so this is RIGHT up my alley 🙂 & I’ve seriously heard SO MUCH about ColourPop– I really need to try it out for myself!
Rachel it’s such a great brush! It is on the more expensive side but I am okay with spending more money on good quality products. ColourPop products are amazing!!!
I bought Notion, too! It was darker than I expected on me but I will summon the courage to wear it soon.
Marette it is a darker color that what I thought as well. It’s Fall so I think it’s okay to try out the vampy looks!
So many new things I want to try now! I’ve been wanting to try that volumizer!
Jamie all of these products I have been using non stop. The volumizer is great and works for any hair type.
I love the Sigma flat-top kabuki that I have. I need to look at the other brushes you mentioned here. They both sound fantastic! 🙂
Crystal I have definitely fallen in love with Sigma brushes. They are pricey but I went on Youtube and found a discount code. Well worth it!
I am going to have to try out those brushes. I have been in the market for some nice make up brushes. Thanks for sharing these!
Elizabeth Ann // http://www.lovedoinglife.com
Elizabeth Ann they are great brushes. They are actually having a sale on them right now. 20% off all purchases. Something to look into. 😉
I’m a lover of all things colourpop…I need to get that shade!!
Summer I love ColourPop too! I have been purchasing so many of their products lately! It’s addicting!
My stylist used that volumizing powder in my hair a couple weeks ago and I was undecided about how I felt. It did give me some initial lift, but it made my roots feel REALLY gritty and it fell flat again within a few hours. But I’m glad it’s working for you!
Chelsie it did feel a little gritty on my hair but nothing overly crazy. I still had lift in my hair when I woke up the next morning. That stinks that it did not work for your hair though. 🙁
Great list. I love hearing about products that people have actually tried. I want to check out the Puff Me!
Thank You Ashley! I love when people review products as well. It gives me lots of ideas on what to try out or what I should not waste my money on. The Puff Me stuff is really great! It works for all hair types.
