Hope Everyone had a great Wednesday! Today is all about fur babies!
Anyone who knows me and knows me well, knows I am passionate about animals. More so dogs but I still like animals in general.
I have two amazingly crazy fur babies. Boudin and Peanut (pictured above). Boudin is the chunky one and peanut is the skinny one. These two are my world. I don’t know what I would do with out them. They bring so much joy into my life and always keep me on my toes.
Both of them came into my life unexpectedly. Boudin showed up at my grandparents house as a stray and when no one claimed him, he became mine. Peanut, I found running on a street in the pouring rain by my house. Both of them had health issues when I got them. Peanut was really bad off, to where the vet was not sure she would live. All I have to say is, thank you lord she lived. ???
So this post is also about Adopting and Not Shopping when looking for a pet. I know, newborn puppies, kittens, etc are extremely cute but there are so many great animals looking for good homes that are in shelters.
Did you know that about 2.4 million healthy, adoptable cats and dogs-about one every 13 seconds-are put down in U.S. Shelters each year (info found on humanesociety.org). All of this is due to people not spaying and neutering their pets which causes overpopulation. So for those of you who don’t think you can afford to do this, lots of places offer great affordable options to help you.
I absolutely HATE seeing people dump their animals like its nothing because they are not responsible pet owners. Pets are forever and not just a hot minute item. Sorry to sound preachy but it pisses me off that people do this. Yes some things come up where people truly can not take care of their pets but for those who are just plain irresponsible there are no excuses.
So as my love for animals, I ask that you visit your local animals shelters to find that perfect furever pet for your family. Please adopt don’t shop. It truly will save an animals life.
Have a great night and I know there will be more posts about my love for animals in the feature.
