Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend/Easter Holiday. I enjoyed my long weekend with my family and friends and today it was definitely hard going back to work. Anyone else have that same problem today?
Today, I want to share with you my review of my first Stitch Fix Box. I must admit that I had my doubts about joining Stitch Fix. But I was so impressed with my first box!!! I mean who doesn’t love receiving clothes in the mail (or any package for that matter)?
So you may be asking what is Stitch Fix, how does this whole thing work and how much will it cost me? Disclosure: This post contains referral links that will help support my StitchFix addiction. All sign ups through my referral link are greatly appreciated!
What Is Stitch Fix? Stitch Fix is an online styling service that ships 5 pieces (a combination of accessories and clothing), as frequent as every 2-3 weeks, every month, or every other month.
How does it work? First you will take a style quiz, which helps your personal stylist (that’s right, your own personal stylist) get to see what type of clothing pieces you prefer. ***A tip to help out in addition to the style quiz, is adding your style boards from Pinterest***. Second, you will receive 5 personalized pieces that your stylist picks for you, according to your style quiz. Last but not least, once you receive the clothes, you pick what you want and send the rest back. They give you 3 days to decide what items you want to keep and what’s great is they provide you with a pre-paid shipping bag for the items you do not want. It’s so simple!
How much does it cost? It cost $20 a month for the styling fee, which goes towards your final order and they do offer a 25% discount if you decide to keep all 5 items. Most items cost around $55.
Here are the items I received in my box
- Loveappella Whitnee Button Neck Striped Shift Dress. I absolutely loved this dress! This dress cost $64. This was the only item I kept from my box. If you look at the picture below this one, this was similar to a dress I had pinned on Pinterest. They are almost identical! For my stylist to find a piece so close to something I wanted on my style board for Pinterest, is pretty darn amazing.

2. Romolo Rita Teardrop Bib Necklace ($38) & Liverpool Denim Jacket ($88). I decided to return these items, even though they are both awesome pieces. I have a few bib necklaces already and I do have a denim jacket as well. So I did not feel that I needed to keep them.
3. 41Hawthorn Milan Lace Print Back Pleat Top $58. Now I loved this top so much but did not keep it because I have a few shirts that are similar to this one. A part of me wishes I would have just kept it.
4. Liverpool Collen Straight Leg Jean $78. These jeans were the perfect fit for me, though they were a little to long for me. I would have kept the jeans if they would have been in the $30-$50 range.
They also send you some styling tips for each piece that is sent to you, with a personal message as to why the items were picked for you.
So for my first unboxing, I was highly impressed with everything I received. The more feedback you are able to give your stylist the better. I can not wait to get my next box!
